Are usually teacher lead and have to deal with the theme of the month or unit of study. They can be crafts, cutting, gluing, and talking about unit/theme, fine motor skills, games, books, coloring and worksheets. Large Motor Activities and Outdoor Play: Can be climbing, jumping, running, playing group games like duck duck grey duck, tumbling, kicking balls, throwing balls. Children are exposed to age appropriate climbers, sports equipment, and games. Centers: Children can choose different areas for free play and exploration. - Kitchen: Dress up clothes, tables, chairs, and dishes, pretend microwaves, and puppets. - Reading: comfy pillows chairs, stuffed animals, carpet, blankets, beanbags, age appropriate books in a library. - Writing: pencils, paper, markers, glue, scissors crayons, coloring books, alphabet games, ABC blocks. - Blocks: large Legos, foam blocks, wood blocks, building materials - Sensory Table: water, sand, beans, rice, play dough, beads. |
